Nestled in the heart of Europe, the Morges Region (canton of Vaud – Schwitzerland) is easily accessible by car via the network of Swiss motorways.
Morges is situated at the motorway A1 which is forms link between Austria and France. Motorway A1 passes the Swiss cities of St. Margrethen, Zurich, Bern, Lausanne and Geneva and offers a 407 km ride across Switzerland. Morges can also be reached via the road along Lake Geneva (Route du Lac).
From Geneva Cointrin International Airport one can reach Morges in about 30 driving minutes. This road section of 65 km contains 9 access roads, 2 rest stops and a motorway restaurant at Bursins.
In Switzerland the motorway toll is paid by the acquisition of a vignette that costs CHF 40.- and is valid until 31st January of the following year. The vignette is sold at the motorway customs, at the post office or at the petrol station.
