In 1139 the church of Mollens, a monastic centre affiliated to Cluny, belonged to the abbey of Romainmôtier.

Morges Catholic Church
The church St-François de Sales was built in 1842. The architect was called Henri Perregeaux, the architecture of the church is assigned to the movement of Gothic Revival Architecture.

Morges Protestant Church
Erasme Ritter, a Bernese architect, draw up the plans and conducted the construction of the protestant church (called Temple) from 1769 to 1771. After an accident that caused the subsidence of the front of the church, Léonard Roux from Lyon was charged with the rebuilding of the façade. The Temple is one of the most remarkable baroque churches in the western part of Switzerland.
