Working week
Offices (public services, banks, insurance companies, etc.) are open from Monday to Friday and shops from Monday to Saturday. It is not unusual for small shops and boutiques to close on Mondays.

Major stores and specialist shops are open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. or 8.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. or 6.45 p.m., and on Saturdays until 5 p.m. Shops are closed on Sundays, except for some baker's and grocer's.
Most banks are open Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. However, some main branches are open continually from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and branches located in shopping centres are also open on Saturdays and, as a rule, keep to the same hours as the centre.
In theory, restaurants are open until midnight, but in practice meals are served from 11.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 6.30 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. It is not unusual for restaurants to close one day a week.
Main station ticket offices are open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
