Glass blower, Claude Merkli

Situated in the middle of the village of Echandens, between Morges and Lausanne in the Region of Lake of Geneva, the workshop of the glass blower Claude Merkli was created in 1988. With a lot of passion and creativity, many various pieces of work have been created for many people in the entire world.

The creation made of blowing glass can be admired in a permanent exhibition room. While visiting it, the public can also admire the craftsman blowing the glass with his blowtorch. The pieces are all blown with  mouth and elaborate by hand.

The material used to create these unique pieces of art is the borosilicate glass (called also pyrex) that resist to high temperatures. A huge choice of articles in blown glass are made in the workshop as : bottle with various patterns in the inside, glasses, candlestickes, kerosene lamps, Christmas and Easter decoration, hourglass, ... The objects can also be made on request from ideas or drawings to make trophies, promotional objects, wedding decoration.
