Springs of the Venoge
The Venoge river, immortalized in 1954 by the famous poet Jean Villars-Gilles, has its spring up in the village of L’Isle.
But the Venoge river has not only one but six springs: The hiking trails marked blue and white lead to the two main springs, Le Chaudron and Le Puits.
The main spring Chaudron is situated in the De la Ville quarter of L’Isle. The Chaudron is a typical Jura spring. 700m above there is the overflow spring of the Chaudron, called Le Puits.
