Col du Mollendruz
From the pass Col du Mollendruz one can discover the crests of the Jura, on foot or by mountain bike. In the winter it is possible to do cross-country skiing or to go snowshoeing.
The Mollendruz pass is one of the main access roads between Morges/Lausanne and the Vallée de Joux, sort of a hyphen between the large valley of Lake Geneva and the marvellous Vallée de Joux in the Vaud Jura.
The road is very well maintained, agreeable to drive on and beautifully curved. The access is facilitated by two roads, going up to the village L’Isle and allowing the driver to cross the beautiful landscape of the Vaud Plateau. On the crest there is a big parking area, very favoured during the weekends and holidays, that allows the parking of the car in order to discover the crests of the Jura on foot, in summer also by mountain bike.
In the winter, the Mollendruz region offers an hibernal ambiance and landscape, only 26 km from Morges. The Nordic Centre of the Mollendruz proposes marked routes for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, starting at the Col du Mollendruz.
