Lisa Voisard, a contemporary artist from Lausanne
The Fondation Bolle and its Museum are giving carte blanche to Lausanne-based contemporary artist Lisa Voisard, whose delicate, colourful work sensitively sublimates the beauty of nature, and in particular of flora and fauna.
A graphic designer and illustrator, Lisa Voisard grew up in the Vaud countryside, surrounded by forests and fields. In love with nature and attentive to everything that makes it what it is, she places the harmony of colour at the heart of her work, offering a graphic and soothing approach.
In this way, she has succeeded in creating an eclectic universe and a shimmering atmosphere that will encourage visitors to question the role that nature plays in their lives and the place they accord it. Beyond the immediate wonder of these works, we see them as an incentive to consider the fragility of our environment and to reflect on the obvious limits of its exploitation.
In 2020, Lisa Voisard will illustrate and write her first book, Ornithorama, a fun guide to the birds of Europe. Then, in 2021, it will be Arborama, about the trees that populate our continent. In 2023, he will publish Insectorama, a collection of books on insects. This publishing work allows him to combine all his passions: nature, graphic design and illustration.
This exhibition is an invitation into Lisa Voisard's world, an ode to nature.
