This summer, Le Chant des Lieux invites you to a literary, poetic and musical escape in an exceptional setting in Vercorin, with its new show featuring actor Roland Vouilloz and musician Didier Métrailler.
"First there's the sound of a fountain.
Or the crack of a branch.
A rustle in the trees.
Perhaps bells nearby."
Inspired by the site, musician Didier Métrailler plays with natural elements such as water, wood and rock. He organizes their polyrhythm with sampling techniques and modifies their texture in real time with electro-acoustic processing. This convoluted architecture is then orchestrated by electronic sounds, by his voice, or with instruments such as the melodica, a bowed cymbal or a lithophone.
Didier Métrailler distills his rhythms and sounds in tune with the story.
Actor Roland Vouilloz brings the words to life with a selection of texts.
Léonard Valette, Alexandre Loye, Roberto Juarroz, Olivier Vonlanthen and Alberto Nessi merge into one voice.
Audience members are provided with headphones for total immersion.
