Wild edible and medicinal plants of the Sarraz meadows
During this spring outing dedicated to edible and medicinal wild plants, we'll be exploring the verdant meadows of the La Sarraz region. Spring, with its tender young shoots, is the ideal time to harvest fresh leaves, perfect for eating in salads or incorporating into a variety of cooked dishes.
Over the course of the session, a dozen wild plants will be identified, with techniques for distinguishing them from their poisonous look-alikes. Practical advice and tips will help you find these plants on future walks. Each species will be presented with an emphasis on its culinary, nutritional and medicinal virtues, offering an in-depth understanding of their usefulness and place in diet and well-being.
You'll also learn how to recognize some of the season's poisonous plants, so you can pick in complete safety.
It's also an opportunity to observe nature in all its detail, and marvel at the treasures it reveals. An enriching experience, conducive to strengthening the bond with nature and savoring the beauty of spring.
This course is for anyone interested in learning more about wild plants and their uses. It is suitable for those wishing to perfect their plant recognition skills, as well as for those adept at survival techniques. It may also be of interest to those already initiated.
