The bed & breakfast was built in the 18th century. It is one of the most beautiful period buildings in the village.
The name “La Dime” translates as “Tithe” which initially served to collect tax.
It was collected by lords from the regional farmers.
By paying their due, the lords promised the farmers protection. At the time it served as a barn with a big quantity of grain as well as fodder.
It remained as a barn for many years and had many owners. Only since 1960 has the building taken on its current appearance.
It was in 1988 that Agnès and Len Martel became the proud owners and renovated the interior in order to offer a place of pleasance to tourists. Today in addition to the b&b’s rooms, there is a contemporary art gallery (mainly photography).
