Morges - Culture et patrimoine
“Le Livre sur les Quais” is back on the waterfront ! Le Livre sur les Quais is a public literary event that provides a unique opportunity for readers and authors to come together.
After a more intimate 11th edition, the 12th edition of the Morges' event has organised a programme of meetings which will serenly welcome 150 guests and will put book signings back at the heart of the event. You will once again be able to stroll freely between the tents and the lake.
The authors are now online!
Between meetings, book signings, literary cruises, musical readings, interviews and discussions, the generous programme will enable you to discover many authors. The rapper and writer Oxmo Puccino, Ananda Devi who will present Le rire des déesses, Olivier Adam, Delphine de Vigan who is coming to Morges for the first time, or else Leïla Slimani, winner of the 2016 Goncourt Prize, will all make the trip to the bank. The Swiss programme is not to be outdone and we invite you to meet, among others, the Graubünden author Arno Camenish, Raluca Antonescu who will present his new novel Inflorescence, Quentin Mouron, Michaël Perruchoud and his cycling novel, Laurence Voïta with her first detective novel and Catherine Safonoff. Alongside them will be first-time novelists such as Florian Forestier and the journalist Salomé Kiner.
The signing tents are back on the bank
This year, the aim is to offer you the best of the festival in the current conditions. The team is doing its utmost to ensure what has made the Livre sur les Quais such a success for years: the meeting between literature lovers and authors. "We are looking forward to setting up three signing tents that can accommodate some sixty authors simultaneously, while maintaining a large bookshop tent that will present the works of all the guests. The RTS studio will also return to the bank for live broadcasts", enthuses the event's general manager, Fanny Meyer.
In the current health circumstances, the team is working to ensure that the festival runs as smoothly as possible and that everyone is safe. Information will follow on the Covid-19 page of the website: https://www.lelivresurlesquais.ch/covid-19-engagements-sanitaires/
