Alpine chalet Le Pré de Bière

Situated near the Col du Marchairuz, at an altitude of 1,345 metres, and surrounded by 116 hectares of pastureland, this traditional chalet is steeped in history and has been renovated to ensure visitors receive the very best welcome.

Hikers and food lovers are welcome to discover the work of the Germain family and watch the cheese-making process through the glass wall of the production room. Guided tours are available for small groups or school classes.

As well as a wide range of dairy products made on-site or locally, the Pré du Bière shop sells meat from the mountain pastures, homemade treats (meringues, bricelets, farm-made ice cream, honey and jams) and wines from the Duruz family’s Les Tilleuls estate in Monnaz (La Côte AOC). Everything you need for a complete, 100% Vaudois meal!

The chalet also serves drinks in an outdoor refreshment area.
