Tree Walk Guided walk of Morges’ tree-lined paths with Pierre Corajoud
The Morges Region and the City of Morges invite you to take a stroll under the trees to learn about their history and benefits.
Join us on May 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the Morges Urban Nursery (located in Parc des Sports) and follow Pierre Corajoud, writer and geographer, as we explore the century-old trees of Parc de l’Indépendance and the young saplings at the nursery.
Throughout the tour, you’ll hear about the botanical discoveries and historical anecdotes of these two major parks and the species that grow there: Which tree causes despair among monkeys? Which species inhabit the biotope? What’s the connection between Napoleon and trees?
This event will also be an opportunity to learn about the City of Morges’ and the region’s tree-planting strategies, the state of the canopy, and where and why to plant trees.
Elected officials and professionals will be on hand to chat over a friendly drink after the walk.
