Winegrowing know-how
The Cave Girardet, located in Lully, has a cellar that can seat 30 people, as well as an outdoor terrace in fine weather.
The grapes are grown in Lully in the canton of Vaud, as well as in Cruzy in the south of France, in the heart of the Languedoc region. This vineyard is mainly cultivated on terraces. South-facing, it benefits from hot, dry weather in summer and mild temperatures in winter. Surrounded by garrigues, this terroir with its clay-limestone soils is home to well-balanced vines bathed in generous sunshine, enabling them to reach optimum ripeness.
The grapes grown on these plots in the AOP Languedoc region can be marketed as AOP Languedoc (Protected Designation of Origin), IGP Pays d'Oc and IGP Pays d'Hérault (Protected Geographical Indication) wines, depending on blending and vinification.
The wine produced in this geographical area bears witness to a historic terroir, whose vineyards have ancient roots. The Fontcaude appellation refers to the Abbey of Fontcaude, founded in 1154.
