Intangible cultural heritage – or living traditions – encompasses oral traditions, customs, festivals, and the gestures and know-how of traditional crafts.
The Heritage Unit of SERAC manages the Cantonal Inventory of Intangible Heritage and supervises the work of the Cantonal Commission for Movable and Intangible Heritage (CCPMI). The latter reviews grants from the Cantonal Fund for Movable and Intangible Heritage and submits them to the Head of the Department of Culture, Infrastructure and Human Resources (DCIRH) for decision.

This is a platform that offers recommendations and tools for organizing events in a sustainable manner.
The current platform was born in 2017 from the merger of CI Manifestation Verte and ecosport.ch. CI Manifestation Verte was founded in 2006 by cantons and cities and focused on the theme of waste. Ecosport.ch was created in 2001 with the sponsorship of federal offices and Swiss Olympic and was dedicated to greater sustainability in sports events. Thanks to this merger, the platform was able to combine key expertise and offer valuable support to Swiss events of all kinds. Summit Foundation supports the development of the platform in French-speaking Switzerland.
