On the slopes of the La Côte vineyard, between Morges and Nyon, there are 200 hectares of enchantment waiting for you at the Aubonne Arboretum. With free entry all year round, this park has almost 3,000 trees from temperate climates around the world, for an instructive and magical walk!
Unique in Switzerland, the Arboretum pursues a mix of scientific, educational and recreational objectives. Nearly 3,000 trees from temperate ecosystems around the world, e.g. Europe, Japan and the USA, flourish in the verdant Vallon de l’Aubonne. Walkers can choose between four trails winding through trees and shrubs, river and pond. With information panels to learn from and picnic areas to relax in, this is an ideal nature excursion for all the family.
In addition to creating a beautiful place to visit, the Arboretum is also working to promote the survival of the species, namely by maintaining an old orchard, where the apple trees and dog roses are particularly well cared for.
The visitors centre with its displays and the Wood Museum provide interesting additional information about all aspects of arboriculture. Guided tours are organised on Sundays in the summer and on request.
The parc is open every day, all along the year.
The reception is however open only from tuesday to sunday, from 10 am to 2 pm.
